Overview
The Bridge Marine Science Group recognises that young graduates are the lifeblood of our sector. As Marine & Earth Science Graduates you will be keenly aware of the environmental issues of our age, from Climatic Change to the collapse of wild fish stocks, coral reef degradation and the seemingly inexorable destruction of coastal livelihoods across the world.
For these reasons we recognise the importance of retaining graduate skills in this important sector. In this respect the Bridge Marine Science Group sits at the interface between academia and industry and we strive, through our philanthropic activities, to:
- Develop the talents of young graduates and create work opportunities for them
- Assist with student / graduate placements within marine sciences business and other bodies.
- Provide specialist support to MSc & PhD graduates who are considering setting up marine science consultancy or businesses.
At a time when the human race looks ever more towards the sea for natural resources we need to retain and encourage the talents of the next generation to tackle the defining environmental issues of our time.
